Hello and welcome to my website! I’m Joel Davies, a documentary wedding photographer and family portrait photographer based between Malvern and Worcester in the West Midlands. I’m one of the lucky ones that gets to make my passion my career. I’m even more fortunate to be the one that gets to record and document the happiest day in your life.
Documentary wedding photography, or reportage photography as it’s sometimes called, is essentially a style of shooting that has story-telling at its heart. My aim is simply to capture your day as naturally as possible, as it happens, so you can recall it for years to come and relive it as it was.
My images are known for being honest, vibrant and emotive. It comes as a surprise to many people that my results are achieved with only a modest amount of direction from me. A watchful eye is my most prized asset on a wedding day. Coupled with my ceaseless fascination with people and an obsession with beautiful light, I am armed with the necessary tools and inspiration required.
